The Barrie Sports Dome Training Field, which is available year round, is home to a number of different activities within the facility including Bazooka Ball, Bubble Soccer, Bounce Fest, and Arrow Tag. On Saturdays, it is host to birthday parties, team parties, & corporate events, while on Sundays it is home to our youth soccer leagues. Through the week it is regularly used for Lawn Bowling by the Barrie Lawn Bowling Club as well as a number of other community user groups. With a shorter turf than the Large Field, the Training Field can be used for a variety of sports including, but not limited to:
- Soccer
- Lawn Bowling
- Baseball/Softball
- Floor Hockey
- Lacrosse
- Rugby
- Flag Football

- $120.00 + HST per hour | Effective off-peak hours & off-season
- 12:00am-7:00am weekends
- 12:00am-3:00pm weekdays
- Anytime off-season (Victoria Day to Labour Day)
- $150.00 + HST per hour | Effective peak hours in-season
- 7:00am-12:00am weekends
- 3:00pm-12:00am weekdays
- $1296.00 + HST per day (12-16 hours)
Would you like to include rental of the Sidelines Lounge following your field rental? In the Lounge, you are welcome to bring in any food and/or non-alcoholic beverages of your choosing to enjoy in the space. You are also welcome to decorate the room if you wish. The Dome is a licensed establishment and does have beer and mixed drinks for sale. Cost to include the Lounge rental with your field rental is $50.00 + HST which will give you private access to the space for 45 minutes directly following your field rental/activity. Simply select this as an add-on when submitting your online booking request to have it included.
*Soccer equipment (soccer balls, nets, pinnies) can be supplied by the Barrie Sports Dome. All other equipment is to be supplied by the user.
*Receive a 10% discount on hourly rates when renting 6+ hours (hours do not have to be consecutive).
*Full payment is due with 7 days of submitting your booking request (accommodations can be made for recurring or full day rentals only). If payment is not completed within the 7 day window, your rental will be cancelled and the time slot will be re-opened to the public. The Dome must be notified of any cancellations at least 7 days prior to field rental to receive refund. All refunds are subject to a $25.00 administration fee.
